Introduction | The Dad behind "The Reliable Dad"
Just a dad attempting to become the most Reliable Dad and sharing his journey with the world
Who is the dad behind “The Reliable Dad”
Hey! I’m Cliff. I am 33 years old. I have two young kids. I am married. I work full-time. I have 2-3 side projects/hustles going on at all times. I am obsessed with fitness and health.
Along with the above list. I always strive to ensure that I am checking the boxes and growing in certain areas of my life. These areas are health, wealth, presence, and my relationship with my spouse. The goal is not to be the wealthiest guy in the world; I am far from it. The goal is not to be the healthiest guy in the world; I like cookies and ice cream too much. The goal is not to be the most successful person in my field; I like spending time with my family too much. The goal is to ensure that I strive just enough in ALL areas to be The Reliable Dad that my kids/family needs. So I am building to be:
fit enough to be a resilient and consistent figure in my kids/wife’s lives
present enough to make an impact in my kids’ lives and development daily
successful enough professionally to ensure that I build the wealth and connections I need to support my family
wealthy enough to ensure that they will all prosper
Along with the above, I would like to highlight some specifics in my current life that shape my perspective, approach, and outlook to the Reliable Dad. I think this is important to highlight because I am not a 50-year father of 4 with 2 kids in college and 2 in middle school. I am not a C-Suite executive of a Fortune 500 company. I am not a husband to a wife that is a “working mom”, she is a thriving stay-at-home mom to our two beautiful children. So I write from the lens of the formerly described dad at the beginning of this article.
The mission of “The Reliable Dad” blog/media
Dads have a unique position in today’s world. My goal at The Reliable Dad, will be to share perspectives on this role that The Modern Dad must fill, spread awareness for Dads who are crushing it as a “Reliable Dad”, and create a space/community that fosters an open-minded approach to defining what it truly means to be a Reliable Dad.
What can you expect from “The Reliable Dad”
I will deliver Weekly blog posts on Monday at 11am with opinion and perspective pieces. As well as regular updates on how I am progressing to become the most reliable dad I can be.
I will share unique perspectives, moments, and ideas from other parents on Instagram @the.reliable.dad
I will produce and distribute video-form podcasts/interviews with dads and celebrate their wins, discuss their journey, and allow them to share insight and knowledge from their failures. Because let’s be honest we all learn more from our failures than from our victories.

You can expect me to write in my voice and for there to be frequent grammatical errors and issues. Not because I want to undermine the writing process or make my posts difficult to read. But I want you to know that this is REALLY me and not someone out to paint the best possible picture of themselves and hide their flaws. Also, ChatGPT will never be able to use as many commas as I like to use in my writing, and I want to keep it that way. Plus, I kinda want to prove my fifth-grade teacher Mrs. Baginski wrong and be a successful writer while “breaking some of the rules”.
Thank you!
More to come, and thanks for reading. All of my content is free to share and distribute. The only thing that I ask is that if you share it, please share my subscription link along with it. Here it is, and it will live at the bottom of all of my content/content descriptions.
Thank you all for your support (dads and non-dads)! Thank you, fellow dads, for taking on this job that is as tough as it is rewarding and challenging. Thank you to my dad for raising me and showing me first-hand the impact of what a Reliable Dad can do for their children.
